Role: Journalist Query Pitch Writer (Featured.com / HARO style) for Two Companies, Part-Time, Human Writing Only
Hours: about 10-15 per week, ongoing
Budget: $3 to $10 USD per hour on tracked hours, paid weekly. Please bid your actual rate.

What the job is
Two companies, two separate Featured.com accounts, one person running both. Every day you log in, read the new journalist requests, pick the few that genuinely fit our experts, and write a short, personal pitch by hand so the journalist quotes us and links to our site. The goal is editorial placements and backlinks on real publications, not volume.

Company 1: a high-end residential interior design studio in Northern California (kitchens, baths, whole-home renovations, universal design). Tone: warm, visual, expert.
Company 2: an insurance technology company (agency management systems, AI for underwriting intake and document processing). Tone: clear, professional, authoritative.
You will be given bios, past quotes, press pages and voice notes for each. The accounts and emails are kept separate; nothing is cross-pitched.

Human writing only
Do not use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or any AI tool to write or edit pitches. Journalists delete generic AI answers on sight. If you cannot write a sharp, specific pitch yourself, this job is not for you. We check.

Your week
- Check both Featured.com accounts daily and shortlist only the relevant queries.
- Write each pitch yourself: 3 to 6 sentences, direct, specific, in the right company voice, using the notes we provide.
- Reference our existing press coverage where it helps credibility.
- Keep a simple log and send a short weekly summary: pitches sent, replies, placements, follow-ups.
- Stay inside our pitch limits: fewer, better pitches.

Who fits
- You have used Featured.com, HARO, Qwoted, SourceBottle or similar, or you can show writing that proves you could.
- Excellent written English. Grammar and spelling must be clean.
- You can switch tone between a design studio and a software company without sounding like the same person.
- You understand why a dofollow editorial link on a high-authority site matters.
- Reliable, organized, available most weekdays.

To apply, answer these three in your proposal
1. Have you used Featured.com or HARO? If yes, one example placement (URL if you have it). If no, say no.
2. Your hourly rate within the budget above.
3. Write this pitch now, in three sentences, in your own words: a journalist asks "I need a home design expert to comment on the biggest mistake people make when buying a sofa."

Proposals without the three-sentence pitch will not be read. We start with a paid trial week and continue if the pitches land.
