I’m setting up an online boutique that will showcase both fine jewellery and hand-woven sarees, and I need a complete e-commerce website built from scratch. The look and feel I’m after is traditional and elegant—think rich typography, warm tones and graceful imagery that instantly signals heritage craftsmanship rather than a fast-fashion catalogue.
Here’s what I expect to receive:
• Fully responsive storefront that loads quickly and adapts flawlessly on phones, tablets and desktops.
• Intuitive product catalogue with clear categories for jewellery, sarees and any future lines, each item supporting multiple photos, zoom and detailed descriptions.
• Shopping-cart and checkout flow integrated with Stripe for secure card payments; optional guest checkout is a must.
• Contact page with an easy enquiry form, clickable phone number
• Basic on-page SEO setup—clean URLs, meta titles/descriptions and alt tags
• Initial hosting configuration, SSL certificate and go-live assistance.
I’m flexible on the underlying platform; if WooCommerce or Magento (or another robust solution) will serve the above goals best, I’m happy to hear your reasoning. I already have a logo, a preliminary colour palette and a handful of product photos, but I’ll rely on you to weave these into a cohesive theme and advise on any gaps.
Acceptance criteria
1. Site passes Google Mobile-Friendly Test and scores 90+ on PageSpeed Insights for mobile.
2. End-to-end purchase using Stripe completes successfully in test and live modes.
3. All pages indexed correctly and free of critical SEO or accessibility errors (Lighthouse audit ≥ 90).
4. I receive a hand-off package: admin credentials, theme files/child theme (if applicable), brief video or PDF guide on adding products and updating content.
If this sounds like a build you can deliver, outline your chosen tech stack, timeline and any similar stores you’ve launched. I’m ready to begin as soon as we align on approach.
