Japanese Sci-Fi Novel Translation

My science-fiction novel for young-adult readers is ready to find its voice in Japanese. The English manuscript calls for a skilled translator who can balance faithfulness to my original tone with subtle adaptations that feel natural to Japanese readers—neither a literal word-for-word rendering nor a wholesale rewrite, but a thoughtful mix of both.
Scope
• Complete translation of the entire novel from English to Japanese, preserving the narrative drive, character voices, and technical sci-fi terminology.
• Cultural localisation where needed so references land smoothly for a Japanese YA audience while still reflecting my style.
• Consistent terminology management across planets, tech, and invented concepts.
• A clean, proof-read Japanese manuscript delivered in Word or Google Docs, ready for copy-editing and layout.
Acceptance criteria
1. Sample chapter approved before full translation proceeds.
2. Final manuscript reads fluidly for Japanese teens and twenty-somethings, with no unresolved translation artefacts.
3. All dialogue retains the personalities of the original cast yet sounds authentically Japanese.
4. Terminology sheet provided for key invented terms.
If you have experience translating fiction—especially science fiction—into Japanese and are comfortable blending creativity with accuracy, this project should be a great fit. Please share a brief excerpt from prior novel translations or a short test passage to demonstrate style handling.
