I’m planning a small birthday gathering and want the food to be the highlight: a five-course Japanese buffet that feels authentic yet easy for guests to enjoy casually. I’ll need an experienced chef who can design the full menu, shop for fresh ingredients, prepare and present each course in buffet-friendly stations, and tidy the kitchen afterwards.
I’m picturing a balanced progression—perhaps a light zensai opener, vibrant sushi or sashimi platters, a comforting hot dish, something grilled from the robata, and a memorable dessert—but I’m open to your creative suggestions as long as the flavours remain distinctly Japanese.
Timing, equipment requirements and any special ingredient orders can be discussed as soon as you accept. If you have previous photos of similar buffet spreads or sample menus, that will help me lock in the final plan quickly.
