Japan Movie Review Monitor

I need a Japan-based contributor who can dedicate a short block of time each day to track fresh entertainment coverage—specifically movie reviews—across major Japanese online outlets, blogs, and streaming platforms. Politics and technology pieces are outside the scope; celebrity gossip or music updates can be skipped as well. The spotlight is on reviews that dig into plot analysis, so comments on acting or visual effects matter only when they help explain the storyline.

Here’s how I see the work flowing: scan reputable Japanese sources, capture every new review, pull out the reviewer’s key plot points, and distill them into concise English notes. Add the source URL, publication date, critic name, and a quick one-sentence verdict from the original article. Everything goes into a shared Google Sheet, with a screenshot or PDF as backup so I can reference the native text later.

• 150–200-word English summary emphasising plot analysis
• Archived screenshot/PDF of each article
• End-of-week trend note (recurring themes, standout releases)

A reliable internet connection, native-level Japanese, and solid written English are essential. Familiarity with Google Workspace or similar collaboration tools will make the hand-off smooth. The workload is light but requires consistency: plan on one to two hours per weekday, though launch weeks for big titles may run slightly longer.

I will review the first two days of entries as an acceptance check—accuracy of links, faithfulness to the original critique, and clarity of the English summary. Once confirmed, we move forward on a rolling basis.
