Italian Holiday Home Extension Remodel

I own a small, 100 m² holiday home in Italy and, from the UK, I’m ready to commission an architect/designer to extend it for additional living space while remodelling the existing kitchen and living room in a fresh Mediterranean style.

The project will involve developing a concept that feels seamless with the current structure, preparing the full set of drawings and visualisations required for local Italian planning approval, and guiding me on finishes that capture a light, airy Mediterranean character. Remote collaboration is essential, so clear communication, regular video check-ins and shareable files (Revit, AutoCAD or similar) will keep us on track.

Key deliverables I will need:
• Concept layout for the new living-space extension tied into the existing footprint
• Detailed architectural plans, sections and elevations suitable for permit submission in Italy
• 3D renders or walk-throughs that illustrate the Mediterranean look and help me visualise materials, colours and natural light
• Kitchen and living-room remodel drawings showing cabinetry, built-ins and any structural tweaks
• A concise materials and finishes schedule, pointing me toward suppliers available in Italy or the UK

I’ll handle local engineers and builders once the design set is complete, but I want you to remain available for the occasional clarification during construction. If you have experience with Italian building codes, bonus points—please note that in your bid along with samples of similar residential extensions you’ve designed.
