I’m kicking off a new IT project and want a seasoned project management partner to get the initiation and planning phase right. The immediate focus is crystal-clear scope definition: framing objectives, in-scope and out-of-scope features, major milestones, high-level timelines, and success metrics that everyone can rally around.

You’ll work directly with me to translate business goals into a concise Project Charter or similar artefact. I’ll supply background documents, stakeholder contacts, and preliminary requirements; you’ll drive structured discovery sessions, gather clarifications, and shape the scope so downstream scheduling and budgeting stand on solid ground.

Familiarity with PMBOK or Agile frameworks, MS Project, Jira, or equivalent planning tools will help us move quickly. Strong facilitation and documentation skills are essential—we have to surface assumptions early and keep the language user-friendly for non-technical stakeholders.

Deliverables I expect at the end of this engagement:
• A vetted Project Charter (or comparable scope document) covering purpose, objectives, boundaries, major deliverables, and acceptance criteria
• A high-level work breakdown structure or milestone roadmap that ties back to the approved scope
• A concise risk/assumption register limited to scope-related items

If this sounds like your wheelhouse, let’s talk so we can lock timelines and get started.
