I am refreshing the network and point-of-sale infrastructure in a Manchester retail store and need onsite hands to complete two scheduled phases.

Phase 1 – 16 November (Monday)
Install the new network switches and access points inside the communications rack, cable them to existing patch panels, power them up and verify basic connectivity. All switches and APs will already be on site; you only need to bring the usual hand tools, testers and any consumables you prefer (velcro ties, labels, spare patch leads, etc.). Brand and model details are still being finalised, so a technician who is comfortable following manufacturer quick-start guides on the day will fit well.

Phase 2 – 29 November – 2 December
Migrate every POS position to the refreshed network. That covers disconnecting and reconnecting scanners, receipt printers, cash drawers and any other peripherals, then testing each lane for successful transactions and printing. Downtime for each till has to be kept to a minimum while the shop remains open, so tidy, organised work is essential.

Deliverables
• Switches and APs mounted, patched, labelled and online
• POS devices re-cabled, powered, tested and signed off by store management

I will confirm exact on-site contact, store opening hours and any health & safety paperwork once the job is awarded.
