Islamic Book Cover Art

A set of educational Islamic books needs a distinctive, print-ready visual identity. The project centres on designing front and back covers plus a small collection of interior motifs that can be reused throughout the series. The finished artwork must honour traditional Islamic aesthetics while remaining clean and readable on offset-printed pages.

No single decorative style has been fixed yet, so feel free to explore calligraphy, geometric or arabesque motifs—whichever best complements the subject matter once a concept is agreed. The colour palette should stay print-friendly (CMYK) and work across matte and gloss finishes.

Deliverables
• Press-ready PDF covers for three trim sizes (exact dimensions provided after award)
• Layered source files in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop for future edits
• A short style guide (fonts, colours, motif usage) to keep the series consistent

Print resolution must be 300 dpi minimum, with 3 mm bleeds and clearly marked safe zones. Spot varnish or foil layers can be separated if proposed in the concept.

Acceptance criteria
1. Visual theme reflects Islamic heritage without overcrowding text areas.
2. Files pass a pre-press check in InDesign and upload cleanly to the printer’s portal.
3. Colours and motifs remain consistent across the three sizes.

Once the concept is approved, the final artwork is expected within one week.
