iPhone Battery Management System inside-out and can work across software, hardware, and firmware layers to alter the way battery health data is reported. The goal is to change the internal metrics that feed the Health section in iOS so the device shows revised capacity, cycle count, and related statistics without triggering errors or safety lockouts.
Can you make a Custom device that can be use on a factory level, hat helpful to change battery health and cycle by just connecting the battery BMS only.
Scope
• Reverse-engineer or otherwise access the BMS firmware and its data pathways.
• Modify the algorithms or calibration tables that calculate battery health.
• Validate the change on real hardware so the phone operates normally under charge, discharge, and idle states.
• Supply clear documentation and a reproducible build or script so I can flash or deploy the update on additional units.
Acceptance criteria
1. iOS Settings → Battery → Battery Health displays the new target values after reboot.
2. No warning messages appear (e.g., “Unknown Part” or “Service” notices).
3. Charging speed, thermal limits, and shutdown thresholds remain factory-safe.
4. A test log confirms stability through at least two full charge/discharge cycles.
Tools you choose are up to you—common stacks include IDA, Ghidra, Python, SWD/JTAG debuggers, or custom Swift/Objective-C utilities—so long as the final procedure is repeatable.
If you have hands-on experience with Apple battery packs, fuel-gauge ICs, or similar secure microcontrollers, please outline it when you reply and mention the equipment you already own for flashing or probe access.
