My native iOS app has been running smoothly for about ten years, yet every so often a bug surfaces or a small feature tweak becomes necessary. I’m searching for an independent iOS developer—no agencies—to step in on an as-needed basis and keep everything shipshape.
In practice, that means you’ll dive into the existing codebase, diagnose and squash bugs, and occasionally introduce incremental feature updates so the app keeps pace with Apple’s latest requirements. The work cadence isn’t fixed; some months you may have nothing, while at other times a quick turnaround on a crash fix or minor enhancement will be essential.
Comfort navigating older Objective-C sections alongside newer Swift modules, using Xcode, TestFlight, and App Store Connect will make your life easier, but the core requirement is solid troubleshooting skill and clean, maintainable code.
When a task comes up, I’ll open a ticket and expect an acknowledgement within 24–48 hours. From there we’ll agree on timing and scope. Typical deliverables for each ticket include:
• Updated code committed to my private Git repository, clearly commented
• A TestFlight build that resolves the bug or adds the requested feature
• A concise change log explaining what was modified
If you’re a seasoned solo iOS developer who enjoys keeping mature apps running flawlessly
