I own Goodpal, an AI companion app for everyday life and work. It offers friendly, encouraging and nonjudgmental conversation, rather than a medical or therapy service.

My daughter has been coordinating development and Apple App Store submissions. There have been prolonged delays, and I now need an independent developer to assess the existing project and advise on completing both iPhone and Android versions.

I believe Flutter may have been used, but this needs confirming from the code. I do not yet know whether the Android version has been built, tested or submitted to Google Play. Please assess its actual condition rather than assume either platform needs rebuilding.

I come from a contracting background and would like four clear stages:

Client brief: Confirm the required functions and intended outcome with me.
Paid assessment: Review existing code, backend, Apple feedback and any Google Play work. Demonstrate what works on each platform and provide a plain-English report identifying defects, missing work, risks and reusable components.
Fixed-price quotation: Quote against the agreed assessment findings for completion, testing, separate store submissions and defined review-response work. List deliverables, exclusions, timetable and payment milestones.
Completion and handover: Deliver tested versions, evidence against agreed acceptance checks, current source code, deployment instructions and owner training. I understand Apple and Google control approval and review timing.
My initial assessment allowance is around £600, subject to an agreed scope. Please explain what that covers and any limitations. Further work will be agreed separately after the assessment.

The intended functionality includes user accounts, personalised avatars, AI conversation and memory, a monthly subscription with a 14-day limited-message trial, and optional greetings in the user's chosen language and local time. I also need an owner dashboard and tracked landing-page links for home, Business Network and workforce QR channels. Please distinguish implemented features from partly complete or missing features, and price additions explicitly.

The assessment should cover subscription and trial behaviour on both platforms, API key security, privacy and account deletion, relevant AI companion safeguards, notifications and backend reliability.

I will retain ownership and control of accounts, source code and billing. Access will be through individual invitations with appropriate permissions, not my main login. Confidentiality and rights to the work you produce must be agreed in writing. Changes that increase running costs need my approval.

I plan to manage the business and dashboard myself, with technical backup for faults and maintenance. Please quote any ongoing support separately, including included hours, rates, support hours and response targets.
