About the Role
At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring an Investment Banking Associate to support live M&A transactions, capital raises, and strategic advisory engagements.
This is a high-performance finance role for someone who thrives in fast-paced transaction environments and can combine advanced financial analysis with disciplined deal execution.
You’ll work closely with senior bankers, analysts, clients, attorneys, accountants, consultants, and other transaction stakeholders to keep deals moving accurately and efficiently.
You’ll take ownership across:

CIMs, pitch books, and investor materials
Market and industry analysis
Analyst review and mentorship

What You’ll Own
Financial Modeling & Valuation
Build and maintain sophisticated financial models, including:
Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) models
Leveraged Buyout (LBO) models
M&A / merger models
Operating and forecasting models
Perform:
Comparable company analysis
Precedent transaction analysis
Sensitivity analysis
Scenario analysis
You’ll also:
Analyze historical financial statements and projections
Evaluate transaction structures and assumptions
Stress-test key model inputs
Validate outputs for accuracy and transaction readiness
Update models as new client and transaction information becomes available
M&A & Transaction Execution
Support live M&A and capital-raising transactions from initiation through execution
Manage:
Due diligence checklists
Data rooms
Document requests
Transaction timelines
Outstanding workstreams
Coordinate with:
Clients
Attorneys
Accountants
Consultants
Investors
Internal deal teams
Track deadlines and ensure deliverables remain complete and accurate
Proactively identify execution risks and outstanding items
Pitch Books, CIMs & Client Materials
Prepare polished, client-ready materials including:
Pitch books
Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs)
Teasers
Investor presentations
Management presentations
Transaction and strategic analysis
Support senior bankers in preparing for:
Client meetings
Investor calls
Management presentations
Internal deal discussions
Maintain exceptional standards for accuracy, formatting, consistency, and presentation quality.
Market Research & Strategic Analysis
Conduct market, industry, and company research
Analyze sectors such as:
Technology
Healthcare
Financial Services
Real Estate
Evaluate:

Competitive positioning
Industry dynamics

Growth opportunities
Incorporate research into valuation assumptions, transaction materials, and strategic recommendations

Provide feedback and guidance to junior analysts
Delegate and coordinate workstreams where appropriate
Collaborate closely with VPs, Directors, and Managing Directors
Maintain quality standards across simultaneous transaction deliverables

Ensure models and transaction materials follow internal standards
Maintain organized and audit-ready documentation
Follow applicable governance, compliance, and document-control requirements

Requirements – Must Have
Experience
2–4 years of professional experience in:
Investment Banking
Corporate Finance
Private Equity
Transaction Advisory
Strong exposure to:
M&A transactions
Capital raising
Financial analysis

Financial Modeling & Valuation
Advanced experience with:
DCF valuation
LBO modeling
M&A / merger modeling
Comparable company analysis
Precedent transaction analysis
Scenario and sensitivity analysis
Strong ability to interpret:

Excel & PowerPoint
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
