I am building a delay-tolerant networking (DTN) showcase in which city buses and cars behave as “data mules,” ferrying messages from a source vehicle to a destination vehicle whenever communication is possible. The core of the job is a runnable simulation that plays out on an interactive map: I want to watch vehicles move, see packets hop between them, and toggle between two forwarding strategies:

• an arbitrary, “send-whenever-in-range” method, and
• a direction-aware method that chooses relays based on the vehicle’s heading.

While the platform is flexible—Matlab, Python, or any other tool you feel is best—what matters is an intuitive, browser-like visualization where I can zoom, pan, and click a node to inspect its current payload.

Once both strategies run across identical mobility traces, I need a concise comparison of
• data transfer speed,
• number of hops, and
• message delivery rate.

A final graph or table that places those metrics side by side will finish that portion.

Beyond the code, I would value your help drafting the main thesis points: how to explain the simulation model, the forwarding logic, the assumptions, and how the results support the argument. I already have a small prototype and can walk you through it on a quick call so you can reuse or refine parts of it.

Deliverables
• Executable simulation with interactive map and two selectable forwarding modes
• Dataset of recorded runs plus the comparative graph/table (preferred formats: CSV + PNG/PDF)
• Brief write-up or slide deck outlining the thesis structure and key findings
• Installation/run instructions

If any existing mobility libraries, GIS tiles, or animation frameworks make the job easier, feel free to integrate them—just keep the final setup straightforward for reproducibility. Happy to discuss finer points, sample traces, or milestone breakdowns on our first call.
