Interactive Brokers Options Trading Automation

I need a small utility that connects to the Interactive Brokers API and places options trades for me end-to-end without any manual intervention once the order is submitted. The flow is simple:

• I manually type the underlying ticker, the dollar amount I wish to allocate, and a trailing stop value (either as a fixed amount or a percentage).
• The program calculates the correct number of contracts, selects the right call or put (I trade both), submits the order, and then manages the trailing stop automatically until exit.
• No spreads are required right now, though it would be helpful if the code is modular enough that I could add them later.

Key points that matter to me
• Fully automated execution through the IB Gateway / TWS API, including position sizing, entry, trailing stop management, and exit.
• A clean, minimal interface for the three inputs above; command-line or lightweight GUI is fine as long as manual entry is quick.
• Clear logging of every API request and response so I can audit fills and monitor errors.
• Written in a mainstream language for the IB API (Python preferred), with well-commented code so I can tweak parameters.
• The finished script must run on Windows 11 and use only publicly available libraries.

I will consider the task complete when I can:
1. Launch the program, enter “AAPL, $10 000, 5 %”,
2. Watch it place the appropriate call or put,
3. See the trailing stop update in real time, and
4. Have the position close automatically when the trail is hit.
