I need a custom point-of-sale solution that keeps my retail store, WordPress site, and countertop POS terminal working as one. The goal is to enter a product or complete a sale in any channel—online or in-store—and have inventory levels update everywhere within seconds.
Core requirements
• Inventory management must sync bi-directionally so web orders instantly deduct in-store stock and vice-versa.
• Robust sales reporting that lets me filter by location, product category, date range, and payment type.
• Payment processing has to accommodate both cash and cards at the physical register while continuing to accept card payments online.
Integration details
My website runs on WordPress, so the POS back end can extend WooCommerce, tap into its REST API, or use a custom plugin—whichever achieves real-time data flow without slowing checkout. The hardware side should print receipts, open the cash drawer, and read chip/tap cards through a gateway that supports PCI compliance.
Deliverables
1. Fully functioning POS application installed on one Windows terminal (with clear instructions so I can replicate it on additional machines).
2. Custom WordPress plugin or API integration that keeps products, orders, customers, and stock synchronized.
3. Dashboard reports exporting to CSV/PDF.
4. One-hour walk-through video plus concise setup documentation.
Acceptance criteria
• A test sale in store and a test order online each update inventory within 30 seconds.
• Reports match totals in both environments.
• No duplicate SKU creation after 200+ transactions.
If this aligns with your skill set, let’s confirm milestones and timeline so I can get the system live before our next stock arrival.
