Meta Ads Video Editor Needed — Turn Our Raw Footage Into High-Performing Ads
We’re looking for an experienced Meta/Facebook/Instagram ads video editor to take our existing raw video footage, product images and brand assets and turn them into engaging, modern short-form ads.
We already have the content — we do not need filming or UGC creation.
What we need is someone who knows how to take raw footage and find the best moments, hooks and combinations to create ads that feel native to Instagram/Reels rather than overly polished corporate advertisements.
About us
We are MERRI, an Australian lifestyle brand built around helping people spend less time on their phones and more time actually doing things.
Our main product is a monthly Offline Box filled with things to read, make, do, try, play and discover.
We already run Meta ads successfully and have a substantial library of:
* Raw product footage
* Unboxing videos
* Hands opening and exploring boxes
* Lifestyle footage
* Product close-ups
* Customer/UGC-style content
* Still photography
* Existing ads and examples of creatives that have performed well
What we need
We want to give you access to our raw content library and have you turn it into multiple Meta ad creatives.
We don’t want to storyboard every ad or tell you exactly where every clip should go.
We’re specifically looking for someone who understands performance creative and can look through the footage, identify the strongest material and create ads from it.
This could include:
* Strong hooks in the first 1–3 seconds
* Fast, engaging editing
* On-screen text and captions
* Trending/native Reel and TikTok-style editing
* Music/audio where appropriate
* Product-focused ads
* Problem/solution ads
* Unboxing ads
* Lifestyle/emotional ads
* Different hooks using the same core footage
* Testing different opening clips, copy and pacing
* 9:16 vertical creatives for Reels/Stories
* 4:5 or 1:1 versions where appropriate
We want the ads to feel current, clever, warm and genuinely interesting — not cheesy, dropshipping-style or overly “salesy.”
Our brand has a strong visual identity, so we’ll provide our website/socials and existing creative for reference.
Initial project
For the first project, we’d like someone to create approximately 5–10 different ad creatives/variations from the content we provide.
If it’s a good fit, we’d ideally like this to become ongoing work, with new creative produced regularly for Meta testing.
Please apply with:
1. Examples of Meta/TikTok performance ads you’ve personally edited.
2. Examples where you were given raw footage and created the finished ad yourself.
3. A brief explanation of how you decide on hooks, pacing and creative variations.
4. Your price for an initial batch of 5–10 ads.
5. Your turnaround time.
Important: We’re not simply looking for a general video editor. We’re particularly interested in someone who understands paid social creative and direct-response/performance advertising, while still being able to make the content feel natural and on-brand.
