I have a consumer-goods part that now needs to move from concept to production. To get there I need two matched files:
• A fully detailed CAD drawing that a mold-maker can drop straight onto their CNC for steel tooling. Draft angles, parting line, ejector pin locations and gating must all be thought through so the part is truly production-ready and repeatable.
• A parametric .scad model of the same geometry for 3-D printing. I’ll use this file for rapid test prints, so it has to match the final mold geometry within the usual tolerance window.
I’ll provide sketches, key dimensions and functional notes as soon as we start. Accuracy, clean feature tree history, and design for manufacturability are what I’ll be checking when I open the files. Native CAD (STEP or IGES alongside the editable source) plus the .scad are the required hand-off formats.
