Freelance Energy & Industrial Procurement Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Engineer with procurement and commercial experience, based in Turkey, to support our project management company on international projects.
The ideal candidate will combine a strong engineering background in the energy and industrial sectors with practical experience in sourcing, procurement, supplier evaluation, and commercial activities.
The collaboration will initially be task/project-based, with the potential to develop into a long-term professional collaboration. This is not a permanent employment position.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct sourcing and procurement activities within the Turkish market.
• Research the market and identify potential suppliers, manufacturers, products, and services.
• Identify, contact, and evaluate suitable suppliers and business partners.
• Support supplier negotiations and commercial discussions.
• Prepare clear and structured sourcing and supplier evaluation reports.
• Support additional procurement and sourcing activities depending on project requirements.
Requirements
• Engineering degree in Energy, Mechanical, Industrial, Oil & Gas, or related fields.
• 2–3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, technical sales, business development, or supplier management.
• Professional experience in energy, oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, or industrial projects.
• Good knowledge of the Turkish market and local business environment.
• Strong research, analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
• Professional proficiency in Turkish and strong written and spoken English.
• Fluent Persian/Farsi is a strong advantage.
• Able to work independently in a remote, project-based environment.
• Willingness to travel within Europe and Asia when required.
Working Format Type: Freelance / Project-Based
Location: Fully Remote
Travel: Europe & Asia, when required
Duration: Initially project-based, with potential for long-term collaboration.
