PE Foam to Cardboard Laminating Machine – Mechanical Design Project

We are looking for an experienced mechanical engineer or a small engineering design office for long-term cooperation in industrial machine design.

This is not intended to be a one-time project. After successful completion of the first machine, we plan to commission further machine design projects.

The first project is a machine for laminating PE foam from a roll onto cardboard / corrugated board sheets.

The machine should be designed in two versions:

* with an automatic sheet feeder,
* with manual sheet feeding.

Process:
cardboard sheet enters the machine → passes through rubber or engraved/anilox glue rollers → is combined with PE foam unwound from a roll → materials are pressed together → at the end, the PE foam is automatically cut using a flying knife without stopping the machine.

* sheet length: up to approx. 1600 mm,
* cardboard thickness: approx. 2–7 mm,
* PE foam thickness: approx. 0.8–2 mm,
* working speed: up to approx. 10 m/min,

* approximate machine dimensions: 8.8 × 2.1–2.6 × 2.5–3.0 m.

We require a complete production-ready engineering design, including:

* complete 3D model,
* STEP/STP files for design review,
* complete PDF documentation,
* all manufacturing drawings,
* assembly drawings,
* welding drawings,
* DWG/DXF files,
* BOM,
* purchased parts list,
* selection of drives, bearings, shafts, rollers and other components,
* native CAD files.

The documentation must be complete enough to manufacture and assemble the machine without additional design work.

* examples of previously designed industrial machines.
