Looking for an experienced Food Factory Planner, Food Process Engineer, or Industrial Food Facility Consultant to develop the process plan and master layout for a new industrial bakery in Lebanon. The facility is approximately 1,200 m² per floor over two levels, with future expansion in mind.
The factory will produce a wide range of products including bread, burger buns, sandwich rolls, breadsticks, kaak, croissants, toast, pain au lait, pastries, cakes, cookies/biscuits, and tortillas.
We need someone who understands how an industrial food factory should work from the production process outward—not just a conventional architect or CAD drafter.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and challenging our existing factory concept
- Developing production/process flows
- Planning equipment positioning and production lines
- Designing raw-material, product, personnel, forklift, and waste flows
- Establishing hygienic zoning and allergen-control principles
- Planning receiving, storage, production, cooling, packaging, finished goods dispatch
- Determining preliminary room sizes and area requirements
- Reviewing two-level/vertical movement requirements
- Establishing preliminary utility requirements
- Considering HACCP and FSSC 22000 requirements
- Developing a practical future-expansion strategy
- Producing a master plan for handover to our Lebanese architect and engineering team for detailed design.
Ideal candidates must have documented experience designing industrial bakeries or similar food-manufacturing facilities (e.g., bread/bun factories, biscuit/cookie factories). Please provide 3–5 relevant projects with details on factory size, products handled, your role in the project (e.g., process/equipment layout), and any HACCP/FSSC/BRC/IFS experience.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can critically review our existing concept and explain what they would change and why. A detailed project brief is attached with the complete scope and deliverables.
