BRAND IDENTITY — INDIAN SKIN CO.
Freelance designer / small studio
About
Indian Skin Co. is a new skincare brand built for the Indian day and climate. Lightweight, non-occlusive sunscreen and moisturiser mists designed to actually be worn through heat and humidity — and reapplied. Launching with a limited first drop.
The positioning, in one line
Contemporary Indian, not heritage Indian. India as precision and modern science — not Ayurveda, not artisan nostalgia, not wedding luxury.
What we're not
No block-print, no paisley, no jaali motifs, no sepia, no Sanskrit. If it could sit on a Forest Essentials or Kama shelf, it's wrong. We want Indian in proportion, colour and material — think Charles Correa, NID, Bombay Deco - rather than Indian in ornament.
References
Project Qaafi · Subko · Bombay Shirt Company · Nicobar · Bombay Sweet Shop · Aesop · Le Labo · The Whole Truth
Scope
Logo and wordmark · type and colour system · packaging artwork (2 SKUs, 2 sizes) · short brand guidelines. Packaging carries mandatory regulatory declarations — we'll supply the list.
To apply
Portfolio, three relevant pieces, rate and turnaround.
