I regularly put together high-energy, newsroom-style debates on Indian geopolitics and need a sharp researcher who can hand me a self-contained brief for each episode. The focus is current affairs in India—political, economic and social strands woven together—yet every brief must also flag the relevant angles involving China, Pakistan, the US, Russia, Europe and the Middle East so panelists can widen the lens on demand.

Here’s how each brief should land on my desk:

• Headline overview of the debate topic followed by clearly separated, fully referenced sections: Pros, Cons and Counterarguments.
• A timeline of key events plus crisp data points (budgets, troop numbers, trade volumes, polling trends, treaty clauses, etc.) drawn from government papers, think-tank reports, peer-reviewed journals or primary-source news wires.
• Call-outs of lesser-known facts, contradictions or policy grey zones that can spark follow-up questions.
• Short blocks of “Counter-Questions” the anchor can fire back at guests.
• Every line tagged as Verified Fact, Authoritative Claim or Opinion so nothing slips through as ambiguity.

I expect more than basic Googling; I want archive dives, multilingual source hunting and a habit of cross-checking figures before they reach me. Citations should include live URLs or document IDs, and figures must match the original unit of measure (₹, USD, tonnes, km, etc.).

Acceptance criteria
1. Brief runs 1,500–2,000 words, readable in under eight minutes.
2. Minimum 12 distinct sources, at least four official/government.
3. No unresolved data conflicts—any discrepancies are flagged with both values and context.
4. Delivered as a clean Word or Google Doc, ready to paste into the show rundown.
