I am putting together an easy-to-read, story-driven book that unpacks the Indian Constitution for a general audience. The manuscript must walk readers through the key provisions and their interpretation, weaving in real-world examples and landmark judgments so everyday citizens can see how the document shapes their lives.
Your legal background will be critical—not for dry academic commentary, but to translate complex articles and case law into clear, engaging narratives. I’ll supply a high-level table of contents, my vision for chapter flow, and any reference material I already have. From there I need you to:
• Expand the outline into a complete chapter plan, highlighting every major constitutional provision that deserves layperson attention.
• Draft the full manuscript in an engaging, narrative style (target length to be agreed once the outline is approved).
• Include accurate citations to primary sources, Supreme Court decisions, and authoritative commentaries so readers who wish can dive deeper.
• Revise based on my feedback until the voice feels consistently readable while remaining legally sound.
Expect periodic check-ins—outline approval, sample chapter review, then full draft—to keep us aligned on tone, depth and accuracy. If constitutional amendments or fresh judgments surface mid-project, we’ll discuss how best to integrate them. Final delivery will be an edited, ready-for-typesetting manuscript in Word or Google Docs, complete with bibliography.
If turning constitutional law into compelling storytelling is your specialty, I’m eager to collaborate.
