I am completing a Thesis at UK university. My thesis uses Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA).
The full draft is complete at approximately 40,300 words, and the reference list is already in place. I require an independent check of citations and their supporting sources and reference check. This is an Independent citation verification assignment, not a writing or rewriting commission.
Immediate priority: citation and source verification
The work covers citations throughout the main thesis, including the literature review, methodology, findings, discussion and conclusions.
I require:
• Checking each cited claim against the actual source to establish whether it supports the wording, scope and argument. Where several sources accompany a claim, identify what each supports.
• Locating supporting passages, verifying existing page numbers and inserting accurate missing page numbers where appropriate. Page numbers must correspond to the correct edition and must not be guessed.
• Checking quotations word for word, including omissions, and distinguishing publication page numbers from PDF viewer numbering.
• Verifying reference details, including authors, dates, titles, editions, publishers, journal details and DOIs.
• Matching citations to the reference list in both directions, including year suffixes such as 2022a/2022b.
• Identifying source types and confirming peer-review status where applicable. The thesis also appropriately uses academic books, chapters, statutory guidance, official reports and other sources.
• Completing an editable viva citation table containing: thesis location, claim, citation, supporting passage and page, verification status, limitations, proposed correction and a brief explanation of how the source supports the argument.
• Clearly marking inaccessible or unresolved sources “not verified”, with the reason. Reference details being correct must not be treated as confirmation that a source supports a claim.

Source access
You will retrieve publicly accessible full texts. I will obtain documents requiring university access, following a consolidated list from you.
Once documents are available, finding the supporting passages and page numbers remains part of the work.
Boundaries
Do not write new material, introduce interpretations, rewrite my argument or alter participant quotations.
Flag unsupported or overstated claims and propose corrections for my approval. Do not replace sources or apply substantive changes without approval. Agreed citation and bibliographic corrections must be visible in Track Changes.
Historical appendix reference issues are excluded from this assignment.
Separate optional quotation: document presentation

Please do quote separately for formatting; this is not automatically commissioned.
This may include improving table and figure legibility, checking captions and numbering, updating an automatic contents page and lists of tables and figures, checking appendix order, and applying the university’s supplied submission requirements. The final PDF must be checked for layout problems.

Deliverables
• A Word thesis with tracked corrections and comments.
• A clean Word copy incorporating approved corrections.
• A completed, editable viva citation table.
• An unresolved-issues and change log, distinguishing verification, proposed corrections and applied corrections.
• A submission-formatted Word document and checked PDF only if the optional formatting work is commissioned.

Experience and working arrangements
I am UK-based and require someone working in the same time zone who is available for agreed video or voice calls.
Please demonstrate experience of UK doctoral standards, Harvard referencing and checking claims against original sources. Experience in qualitative research would be helpful.
Please provide:
• Your relevant qualifications and experience.
• An anonymised sample shared with permission, or a purpose-made sample showing claim verification and a completed citation-table entry.
• A fixed price for verification and a separate price for optional formatting.
• Your estimated working hours, start date and completion date.
• Your approach to inaccessible sources.
• Confirmation of who will personally undertake the work and whether anyone else would have access to the thesis.

Thank you.
