I'm looking for an independent mobile QA engineer to help test a connected product combining an iOS/Android mobile application and Bluetooth Low Energy hardware.
This role focuses on critical user journeys, Bluetooth reliability, regression testing and reproducible defect reporting.
Scope
- Test critical mobile journeys on iOS and Android
- Test Bluetooth Low Energy pairing, connection and reconnection
- Test first-time device setup and first successful measurement flow
- Test permissions, Bluetooth state changes and common failure scenarios
- Test app behaviour after interruption, backgrounding and relaunch
- Test synchronization and persistence of measurements
- Execute regression testing after new builds
- Build and maintain structured test cases
- Reproduce defects consistently
- Produce clear bug reports with steps, device/OS information, logs and evidence
- Test across a representative matrix of phones and OS versions
- Contribute to pass/fail acceptance criteria for critical user journeys
Profile required
- 3+ years of mobile QA experience
- Strong Android and iOS testing experience
- Proven experience testing Bluetooth Low Energy devices
- Experience testing connected devices / IoT products
- Strong manual testing and exploratory testing skills
- Experience creating test plans and regression suites
- Ability to produce precise, reproducible bug reports
- Comfortable working with logs and technical debugging information
- Good written English
Automation experience is useful, but not required.
Real BLE / hardware testing experience is more important.
