Location: Remote (APAC) | Type: Freelance, Project-Based | Travel: Required (fully covered)
This flexible freelance role is ideal for an experienced sourcing professional who enjoys managing supplier relationships, procurement, and negotiations on a project basis.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct market price research and negotiate pricing, MOQ, lead times, and payment terms
• Prepare supplier comparisons and sourcing reports
• Liaise directly with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Travel to supplier factories or trade fairs when required for inspections, audits, or in-person negotiations
• Identify sourcing risks and recommend solutions
Must-Have Requirements
• Solid understanding of electronics and the ability to technically evaluate spare parts (automotive components, air conditioner/HVAC parts, or similar categories)
• Hands-on experience in negotiation, market price research, and/or procurement — ideally in electronics, automotive, or industrial parts
• Fluent in both English, and Chinese is preferred
• Able to work independently and manage project timelines with minimal supervision
• Willing and able to travel when a project requires it
Nice-to-Have
• Existing supplier network in the automotive parts or HVAC/AC components space
• Prior experience working as a freelance sourcing agent or independent procurement consultant
• Experience working with international clients across different time zones
