I’m looking for a skilled YouTube video editor for my football analysis channel, CalmaViews.
My videos focus mainly on Real Madrid, European football, match analysis, player performances, tactical observations, statistics, and football opinions.
I will provide the raw talking-head video, usually recorded in front of a green screen, along with the main topic/script direction. The editor’s job will be to turn the raw footage into a polished, engaging YouTube video.
The editing style should be in-depth and professional, but still modern and engaging enough to maintain viewer retention.
What I need from the editor:
Remove mistakes, pauses, repetitions, unnecessary gaps and dead space.
Keep the pacing natural but engaging.
Add relevant football visuals throughout the video: player images, team logos, stadium images, match-related graphics, statistics, tables, scorecards, tactical graphics, etc.
Use my green-screen footage creatively with changing football-related backgrounds where appropriate.
Add clean text overlays for important statements, player names, statistics and key arguments.
Use subtle zoom-ins, punch-ins and movement to avoid a static talking-head feel.
Add suitable transitions, sound effects and background music only where they genuinely improve the video. I do NOT want excessive or distracting effects.
When discussing tactics, formations or player positioning, use simple tactical graphics/animations where helpful.
Keep branding and visual style consistent across videos.
Colour correction, audio cleanup and basic sound balancing should be included.
Final output must be suitable for professional YouTube upload in high quality.
Very important:
I am NOT looking for an editor who simply adds subtitles, random transitions and stock effects. The editor should understand the topic being discussed and choose visuals that actually support the football analysis.
Knowledge of football/soccer is strongly preferred, especially European football, La Liga, Champions League and Real Madrid. An editor who already watches football will have a major advantage because they will understand player names, clubs, tactical terminology and the context of the discussion.
Typical workflow:
I send the raw recorded video.
Editor removes mistakes/dead portions.
Editor adds relevant football visuals, statistics, graphics, text and backgrounds.
Editor sends the first draft for review.
I provide corrections if required.
Editor delivers the final YouTube-ready file.
Videos may typically be around 8–20 minutes after editing, although length can vary depending on the topic.
I am looking for someone for long-term recurring work, not only one video. If the quality is good, there will be regular football videos.
When applying, please send:
2–3 examples of your best YouTube editing work.
Any football/sports videos you have edited.
Your price per edited video or price per finished minute.
Approximate turnaround time.
Which editing software you use.
Whether you personally follow football/soccer.
Please start your proposal with the word “CALMA” so I know you have actually read the complete project description.
I value clean editing, good visual judgement, football understanding and viewer retention more than unnecessary flashy effects.
