Project: PDF to HTML Image Placement & Quality Review

I have around 150–160 PDF documents that need to be converted into final HTML files.

The PDF-to-HTML conversion/script is already completed, so the main requirement is image handling, placement, formatting, and final quality review.

Scope of Work

Extract/identify the images from the PDF.
Place each image in the correct corresponding location in the existing HTML.
Maintain the required image size, aspect ratio, positioning, and formatting.
Ensure images are not misplaced, duplicated, missing, stretched, or distorted.
Review the rendered HTML against the original PDF to identify visual differences.
Fix any issues found during the review.
Ensure the final HTML is clean and visually matches the source PDF as closely as required.
Automation Preferred

I would prefer this to be handled as automatically as possible rather than manually placing every image.

If possible, the solution should use the image's PDF coordinates, page information, dimensions, or other metadata to determine where it should be placed in the HTML.

The ideal workflow would be:

PDF → existing HTML conversion → automatic image extraction/placement → HTML rendering → comparison/review → manual correction of exceptions

Manual work should mainly be required for cases where the automated placement is not accurate.

Important

The existing PDF-to-HTML script is already available and is not part of this project.

The focus is specifically on:

Image extraction + image placement + formatting + visual QA/review

Deliverables
Final HTML files with correctly placed and formatted images.
Correct image assets where required.
Any script/automation developed for image placement.
Final reviewed HTML with identified issues corrected.
Initial POC

Before processing all 150–160 PDFs, I would prefer to start with a small sample of PDFs to verify the approach and accuracy.
