I’m ready to overhaul my house with a properly planned, high-performance LAN. The goal is to move beyond the patchwork of extenders and ad-hoc cabling I have now and end up with a single, well-documented home network that delivers reliable, wired Gigabit speeds to every room while still supporting strong Wi-Fi where it matters.

Here’s what I need from you:

• A clear topology and wiring diagram based on the floor plan I’ll share.
• An equipment list—router, managed or unmanaged switches, patch panel, access points, cabling type, and any enclosures—chosen for value and long-term reliability.
• Step-by-step configuration notes for VLANs, DHCP, basic firewall rules, and device naming so I can maintain the setup after you finish.
• Simple labelling and documentation standards to keep future additions painless.
• A final validation checklist (throughput, latency, and basic security tests) so we both know the job is truly complete.

I’ll supply any existing hardware details and the ISP hand-off specs as soon as we start. If you prefer particular design tools—Visio, NetBox, even plain draw.io—just let me know; I’m flexible as long as the output is readable and editable.

Once your design is approved, I’ll order the gear and either implement it myself following your guide or book you for remote walk-through support. My measure of success is simple: every room gets a stable Gigabit drop, Wi-Fi dead zones disappear, and the whole setup is tidy enough to impress an auditor.

If that sounds like a challenge you enjoy, tell me how you’d tackle it and share a quick example of a previous home or small-office network you’ve planned.
