Project Title:
Audio Editing & Sound Design for a 30-40 Minute School Ramayan Play
Project Description:
Overview: We are looking for an experienced audio editor/sound designer to edit and assemble a 30 to 40-minute audio track for a Hindi school play based on the Ramayan. We have handwritten/typed scripts across multiple scenes (including Vishwamitra's arrival, Sita Swayamvar, Parshuram Samvad, Kaikeyi-Manthara dialogue, Vanvas, and Panchvati/Sita Haran).
What We Will Provide:
1. Raw Dialogue Audio: Voiceover recordings of the characters (or AI-generated voice tracks).
2. Script & Scene Breakdown: Clear scene-by-scene script notes indicating the mood, dialogue timing, and stage directions.
What We Need from the Freelancer:
1. Dialogue Editing & Cleanup:
* Clean up raw voice tracks (noise reduction, removing background hums/clicks).
* Level and normalize volume across all character voices so they sound balanced and clear.
2. Background Music (BGM) Selection & Layering:
* Source and place appropriate Indian classical / epic / dramatic background tracks (flute, sitar, shehnai, war percussion, sad emotional melodies) to fit each scene's mood.
* Proper audio ducking so BGM stays behind the dialogues and swells during scene transitions.
3. Sound Effects (SFX):
* Add context-accurate sound effects (e.g., bow snapping/breaking sound, demonic roars, forest ambience, footsteps, Shankhnaad/conch shell).
4. Final Mix & Master:
* Deliver a seamless, single audio track ready to be played during the stage performance.
Deliverables:
* 1× Final Audio Master File (WAV and High-Quality MP3, ~30-40 minutes).
* Audacity / DAW Project File (in case we need small tweaks later).
Skills Required:
* Audio Editing & Processing (Audacity, Adobe Audition, Logic Pro, Reaper, or similar)
* Sound Design & SFX Layering
* Music Placement & Mixing
* Fluency/Understanding of Hindi (essential to align dialogues and music cues accurately)
Timeline & Budget:
* Expected Turnaround: 3–5 days
* Budget: Open to reasonable quotes based on your portfolio.
