Hindi Novel Translation & Typing

A complete Hindi novel currently exists only in hard-copy form. The project involves two intertwined tasks. First, every word of the printed text must be retyped with absolute accuracy, keeping chapter breaks, dialogues, and any stylistic emphasis exactly as on the page so I can work with an editable manuscript. Immediately after, that freshly typed Hindi file needs to be rendered into smooth, idiomatic prose in the target language—English is my initial preference, though I’m open to discussing another language if it better suits your expertise.

Faithfulness to the author’s tone, cultural nuance, and emotional flow is crucial; the translation should read like an original novel, not a literal word-for-word copy. A solid grasp of literary Hindi, contemporary vocabulary, and narrative pacing will make the difference here.

Deliverables:
• Clean, proof-read Word document of the full Hindi text
• Parallel Word document containing the complete translation, formatted to mirror the original (chapter titles, paragraph breaks, footnotes if present)
