Hindi–English Article Re-Typing

I have a collection of handwritten Hindi-English articles that need to be turned into clean, editable text. There are well over ten pieces in total, and each one averages just one to two pages, so accuracy matters more than speed.

Every article is bilingual: the Hindi lines are written in Devanagari script and the English sections appear just below them, echoing the same ideas. I need both languages preserved exactly as they appear, with correct punctuation, accents, and paragraph breaks. A simple, well-formatted Word document for each article is ideal, though Google Docs is fine if that’s your preferred workspace.

Because the originals are handwritten, legibility varies. You should feel comfortable deciphering neat and not-so-neat handwriting alike, and you’ll need a solid command of both Hindi and English to catch spelling nuances and ensure no meaning is lost in transcription.

Deliverables (one folder, clearly organised):
• A separate .docx (or shared Google Doc) for each article, titled to match the original filename or page heading
• Text laid out paragraph-for-paragraph in the same order as the handwritten copy, with Hindi first and its English counterpart directly underneath
• Final spell-check and a quick self-review so I can copy-paste straight into my publishing workflow

Once I receive the first two transcribed pieces I’ll review for consistency; after that, you can proceed with the remaining batch. If you have any questions about an unclear word or phrase, just flag it in a comment and move on—no need to halt progress.
