My rocket-shaped quadcopter is already quick, but I want to squeeze out every bit of performance by refining its aerodynamics. Your main mission is aerodynamic optimization, with special emphasis on lowering drag, boosting useful lift, and ensuring rock-solid stability as velocity climbs.

The job at a glance
• Rework the current CAD model in SolidWorks so centre of gravity and centre of pressure sit exactly where high-speed flight demands.
• Run detailed CFD studies in ANSYS or a comparable solver to quantify lift-to-drag improvements, pressure distributions and flow separation—then iterate the geometry until targets are met.
• Back the new shape with FEA to make sure the lighter, sleeker frame still meets strength margins and survives prop-induced vibration.
• Provide a concise vibration assessment so I can eliminate resonance before prototyping.
• Package the final design as manufacturing-ready drawings, STEP and STL files plus a short report summarising CG/CP data, CFD plots, FEA safety factors and recommended build materials.

Acceptance criteria
1. Documented drag reduction and lift increase vs. my baseline at the same throttle setting.
2. Demonstrated dynamic stability in CFD at designated top speed, with no unmanageable oscillations.
3. Structural factors of safety ≥1.5 on critical members.
4. Deliverables open flawlessly in SolidWorks 2022 and are ready for CNC or composite lay-up.

If you are comfortable iterating quickly between SolidWorks, ANSYS Fluent (or CFX), and any vibration analysis plug-ins, I’m ready to start.
