I regularly receive structural-steel drawings in AutoCAD (DWG) and need an experienced fabrication engineer who can turn them into production-ready flat patterns with tight tolerances. Your role will be to:
• Unfold or develop each part accurately from my 2D/3D AutoCAD files and supply the flat pattern in DWG/DXF ready for laser or plasma cutting.
• Compile a clear bill of material listing plate size, thickness, quantity, weight and cut length so I can price the job quickly.
• Prepare a concise material data sheet that specifies the steel grade, mechanical properties and any relevant standards called out on the drawings.
The parts are all structural components, so edge accuracy, bend allowances and hole positions must meet high-precision requirements. Please let me know which unfolding or nesting software you prefer (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, Lantek, etc.) and share a comparable sample if possible. Quick turnaround and meticulous documentation will be highly valued; once the first batch runs smoothly, there will be ongoing work.
