I want to bring a full-scale, high-detail mining simulation to life in Roblox. The core loop is simple on paper—descend into randomly generated cave systems, mine valuable resources, haul them back to the surface, and invest the profits into bigger tools and base upgrades—but I need it executed with polish worthy of the front page.
Gameplay pillars
• Building/Construction: Players should be able to expand an above-ground hub, placing refineries, storage silos, and aesthetic props that visually reflect their progress.
• Resource Management: Ore quality, backpack capacity, fuel for drills, and danger levels must all interlock so every descent feels like a meaningful risk-reward decision.
• Cave Dangers & Pets: Caves grow increasingly hazardous the deeper you go. I’m picturing dynamic rockfalls, gas pockets, and, most importantly, custom-mesh spider pets that evolve from skittish critters into powerful companions as they level up.
Visual style
High-detail models and textures are non-negotiable. Think stylized realism rather than low-poly: PBR materials, subtle surface wear, glowing crystal veins, volumetric fog in deep shafts, and animated spiders with personality. Performance still matters, so smart LOD handling is essential.
Scope of work
• Design and script the full gameplay loop in Lua within Roblox Studio.
• Model, texture, rig, and animate cave assets, machinery, and the entire spider pet line.
• Build UI for inventory, upgrades, and pet management that feels native to Roblox yet unique.
• Implement data stores for persistent player progress and monetization hooks (game passes, cosmetics).
• Playtest, balance resource values, and optimise so the experience runs smoothly on PC, console, and mobile.
Acceptance criteria
1. A playable alpha with mining, base building, and at least one spider pet evolution chain.
2. Smooth 60 FPS on mid-tier mobile devices in public test servers.
3. Clear, well-commented Lua code and layered .blend or .fbx source files for every custom mesh.
If you’ve shipped simulation or tycoon titles before and can match the visual fidelity of titles like Miner’s Haven or Pet Simulator X while pushing it further, let’s talk.
