Heavy Equipment Marketplace Development

I’m building a web-based marketplace where contractors and farmers can rent heavy machinery directly from owners. The catalogue will cover construction, agricultural and industrial equipment, each with its own spec sheet yet presented through one consistent interface.

Key experience I need you to deliver: visitors must be able to search and filter listings, check real-time availability, book the dates they need, and leave ratings and written reviews once the rental is complete. Account creation will rely on phone number verification via SMS; architect the auth layer so we can bolt on email or social logins later without rewriting core code.

A modern, scalable stack is essential—React or Vue paired with Node, Laravel or Django are all acceptable, so propose what you work fastest in. Design should be mobile-first and responsive. Payments, in-app messaging and a multi-role admin panel will come in a later phase, so keep your code modular and well documented.

Deliverables
1. Deployed covering the three equipment categories, with search, booking calendar, ratings/reviews and OTP login fully operational.
2. Clean, commented source code in a Git repo.
3. Seed data for testing.
4. Brief hand-over session and deployment guide.

I’ll sign off once I can create an account via SMS, list a piece of equipment, run a full booking flow, and see the review system update correctly without errors.
