ABOUT US
Verian Lithuania (formerly PPMI) is a European policy research and evaluation consultancy. We work primarily for EU institutions (European Commission, JRC, DG SANTE, HaDEA, EUDA, ECDC) and international organisations (OECD, UN). Our public health and life sciences portfolio is growing fast, and we are looking for an experienced Healthcare Project Manager to help us deliver it.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a project manager to lead large-scale, complex EU-funded healthcare projects: multi-year, often multi-partner contracts with several parallel workstreams, high-profile EU clients and demanding delivery standards. You will be accountable for delivery from kick-off to final reporting, including budgets, timelines, teams and client relationships.
Our portfolio includes European guidelines for prostate cancer, evidence-based research prioritisation in the drugs field, GRADE evidence assessments, and quality indicator development following Cochrane standards. You will work closely with our review methodologists, so a good understanding of how systematic reviews and guidelines are developed will help you plan, steer and quality-assure this work as we grow our in-house evidence synthesis capacity.
Day-to-day, you would:
Lead projects end to end: work planning, timelines, budgets, risk management and quality assurance of deliverables
Manage several projects and workstreams in parallel, setting priorities and allocating resources across teams
Act as the main point of contact for EU clients, including inception, interim and final reporting in line with contractual requirements
Lead multidisciplinary teams of researchers, review methodologists, external experts and consortium partners
Organise and steer working groups, expert panels and stakeholder consultations
Oversee the planning and quality of systematic reviews, GRADE assessments, guideline development and quality indicator work, in close collaboration with methodologists
Drive the use of innovative and AI-assisted review tools in project workflows
Lead or contribute to tenders and proposals for EU evidence synthesis and health contracts
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Essential:
PhD in public health, epidemiology, health sciences or a related field
Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex projects (e.g., multi-year, multi-partner contracts with several parallel workstreams), ideally EU-funded healthcare or public health projects such as service or framework contracts with the European Commission and its agencies, EU4Health or Horizon Europe
Experience holding full responsibility for project budgets, timelines, risk management and contractual reporting
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing senior client and stakeholder relationships
Excellent written and spoken English
Strong assets:
Understanding of how systematic reviews and clinical guidelines are developed (e.g., Cochrane methodology, PRISMA, GRADE, Evidence-to-Decision frameworks)
Hands-on systematic review experience as an author or review team member
Experience in cancer evidence review, such as screening, diagnosis, treatment guidelines or HTA
Track record of writing or leading successful EU tender proposals
Experience with AI/ML tools in evidence synthesis or health data analysis (e.g., AI-assisted screening, text mining, bibliometrics)
Publications in cancer, screening, HTA or guideline development
Familiarity with review and analysis tools (e.g., RevMan, GRADEpro, Covidence, R, Python)
Experience drafting policy or regulatory documents
CONDITIONS
Monthly service fee: EUR 4,000–4,500, depending on experience
Full-time equivalent commitment with flexible working hours
Remote work within the EU
Service contract with possibility of extension
HOW TO APPLY
Please submit your CV and a short cover letter by 6 November 2026, highlighting your experience managing EU-funded healthcare projects and any relevant work in cancer evidence review. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
