I need a 75–90-second, fully hand-drawn 2D animation that brings to life the quiet mystery of a tiny coffee shop that appears only on rainy evenings. The narrative follows a weary office worker who notices the wall clock inside the café never points to the same hour twice. The silent barista communicates solely through charming illustrated notes slipped under each cup; only at the climax does our protagonist realise the sketches forecast moments that have yet to happen.
Here’s how I imagine the workflow:
• Storyboard & rough animatic so we can lock pacing and camera moves early.
• Clean line animation that captures subtle emotions in our two leads—the customer and the inscrutable barista.
• Colour, lighting and simple atmospheric effects (rain-splashed windows, warm interior glow). I’m flexible on style, palette and overall tone; surprise me with suggestions that heighten the shop’s cosy yet uncanny feel.
• Final composite delivered in 1080p (or higher if you prefer), along with separate audio stems so I can add voice or music later if needed.
Acceptance criteria
• Running time falls between 1:15 and 1:30.
• All artwork is original, hand-drawn and supplied in layered source files (PSD, TVPaint, Toon Boom, or your preferred package).
• One round of revisions at both animatic and colour pass stages.
• Clean export in H.264/MP4 plus a lossless master.
If you’re excited by rain-soaked streets, warm lamp-light and a touch of temporal eeriness, let’s collaborate. Show me a glimpse of your previous 2D hand-drawn work and tell me how you’d approach the shifting-clock twist.
