About the Role

TurFresh is looking for a hands-on Growth & Marketing Operations Manager to improve marketing performance across multiple markets.

This role combines strategy, analytics, execution oversight and team coordination. You will connect paid media, SEO, local search, CRM, marketing automation, websites, lead handling, agencies and internal specialists into one accountable system.

You will work closely with John and the President/General Manager, who will provide strategic guidance and feedback. You will be expected to turn that direction into clear plans, disciplined execution and measurable results.

You should be analytical, commercially minded, organized, technically capable and comfortable moving between strategy and execution.

You should naturally ask:

What happened? Why did it happen? Was the work executed correctly? What should we do next?

What You Will Own

Marketing performance by market and channel

Weekly KPI reporting and executive communication

Lead volume, qualified leads, CPL, CAC, conversion and ROI

Paid-media agency performance

SEO, local SEO and Google Business Profile performance

Lead attribution, CRM and marketing automation

Website and landing-page conversion

Marketing priorities, projects and vendor deliverables

Coordination between Marketing, Sales and Operations

Marketing processes, SOPs and quality control

What You Will Do

Performance & Analytics

Track performance across paid search, organic search, local search, email/SMS, referrals and other channels.

Connect marketing activity to:

Lead → Contact → Quote → Sale → Revenue

Investigate changes in lead volume, lead quality, cost, conversion, revenue and market performance. Determine whether problems come from strategy, execution, tracking, lead routing, follow-up, agencies or market conditions.

Translate data into clear recommendations, owners, action steps and success criteria.

Growth Management

Identify opportunities to increase profitable customer acquisition.

Evaluate:

Market and channel performance

Budget allocation

Search and keyword opportunities

Landing pages

Local search

Lead reactivation

CRM and follow-up

New tests and growth initiatives

Work with John and the President/General Manager to prioritize opportunities and execute them effectively.

Hands-On Marketing Direction

Provide practical direction to agencies, vendors and internal specialists.

You should be able to review and improve:

Paid-search structure, targeting, bids, budgets and ad copy

Keywords and negative keywords

Landing pages and conversion paths

SEO and local-search execution

Google Business Profiles

CRM workflows and lead routing

Tracking and attribution

Website forms and calls

Marketing SOPs and quality-control processes

You do not need to perform every task daily, but you must understand the work well enough to direct it, evaluate it, teach it and step in when necessary.

Agency & Vendor Management

Set clear expectations for each agency or specialist, including:

Objective

Strategy

Required work

KPI and target

Deliverable

Deadline

Result

Corrective action

Challenge vague explanations and distinguish between poor strategy, weak execution, tracking issues, lead-quality problems and sales follow-up problems.

Marketing Operations

Create structure around the marketing department.

Maintain:

Priorities and project ownership

Due dates and reporting

KPI dashboards

Campaign calendars

Testing backlogs

Vendor deliverables

SOPs and training materials

Quality-control checklists

Open issues and follow-up items

Eliminate, automate, delegate or simplify low-value work.

Sales & Marketing Alignment

Work with Sales to understand what happens after a lead is generated.

Use downstream results to evaluate targeting, messaging, qualification, routing, response time, follow-up and sales execution.

Marketing success is not simply generating inquiries. The goal is generating qualified opportunities that become profitable customers.

Team Coordination

Work with specialists in:

Paid media

SEO and local SEO

Google Business Profiles

Content

Email and SMS

Creative

Website

Marketing automation

Analytics and reporting

You are not expected to own every specialty, but you must be able to evaluate the work, set direction, identify problems, coach others and hold people accountable.

Executive Partnership

Our owner and the President/General Manager are both marketers and will remain actively involved.

They will provide strategic guidance, feedback and context on priorities, positioning, messaging and customer experience.

You will be expected to present recommendations, accept feedback, revise plans when appropriate and own the day-to-day marketing operating system.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 90 days, you will have:

Established a reliable weekly marketing scorecard

Created clear ownership across marketing functions

Improved visibility into performance by market and channel

Evaluated agency, vendor and execution quality

Improved lead attribution and CAC reporting

Connected marketing results to sales outcomes

Identified priority growth opportunities

Documented key SOPs and standards

Created a testing and optimization roadmap

Established an effective working rhythm with leadership

Over time, success means:

More qualified leads

Lower acquisition costs

Better marketing efficiency

Stronger attribution

Better agency accountability

More consistent execution

Faster problem resolution

Stronger internal capability

More predictable revenue growth

Ideal Background

We are looking for someone with approximately 5–8+ years of experience in growth marketing, performance marketing, marketing operations, demand generation or digital marketing.

Strong candidates will have hands-on experience with several of the following:

Google Ads / PPC

SEO and local SEO

Google Business Profiles

GA4 and Google Search Console

CRM and marketing automation

Lead routing and call tracking

Attribution and reporting

Conversion-rate optimization

Landing pages and websites

Agency management

Multi-market or local service businesses

Executive KPI reporting

SOP development

Team training or coaching

Experience personally diagnosing and correcting marketing problems is especially valuable.

The Person We Are Looking For

You are:

Analytical and commercially minded

Highly organized

Technically credible

Comfortable with accountability

Curious about why performance changes

Able to move between strategy and execution

Comfortable reviewing detailed work

Strong at prioritization

Clear with executives, vendors and teammates

Comfortable receiving direct feedback

Resourceful, dependable and coachable

Focused on outcomes rather than activity

Committed to high-quality work and continuous improvement

You should enjoy building systems, improving performance and developing people while staying close enough to the work to know whether it is being done correctly.

This Role Is Probably Not Right for You If

You primarily want to:

Focus on brand strategy without owning performance

Create content as your main responsibility

Manage social media

Review dashboards without investigating the work

Delegate without understanding execution

Rely entirely on agencies

Avoid platform or implementation details

Resist feedback

Report metrics without owning results

Prioritize activity over business outcomes

Reporting Relationship
Reports directly to the President/General Manager and works closely with John, Sales, Operations, internal marketing specialists and external agencies.

Core Scorecard

Your performance will be evaluated on:

Qualified Lead Growth

Cost per Qualified Lead

Customer Acquisition Cost

Marketing-Sourced Revenue

Conversion Performance

Marketing ROI

Execution Quality

Attribution Accuracy

Team and Vendor Capability

Process Improvement

and the organization’s ability to understand where growth is coming from, whether the work is being executed correctly and where the next marketing dollar should be invested.
