# Hiring: Expert B2B SaaS SEO & Growth Marketer — Drive Real Paying Customers for a Database Backup SaaS
**Project Type:** Ongoing / Performance-Focused
**Target Market:** United States primarily, followed by other English-speaking markets
**Industry:** B2B SaaS / Developer Tools / Cloud Infrastructure / Database Security
## About Our Product
We have developed **Vaultly**, a secure, automated database backup and disaster recovery SaaS platform for developers, startups, agencies, and businesses.
Our platform provides:
- Automated PostgreSQL database backups.
- Encrypted cloud backup storage.
- Integrity verification of every backup.
- Daily restore testing of the latest eligible verified backup.
- Backup monitoring, alerts, and reports.
- Secure database recovery and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Subscription plans starting at **$19/month and $49/month**, with a 7-day free trial.
The platform is developed and deployed. We are now preparing to launch publicly and need an experienced marketer who can help us acquire our first customers and build sustainable organic growth.
## What We're Looking For
We need someone who has **proven experience marketing B2B SaaS products**, preferably developer tools, hosting, cybersecurity, databases, cloud infrastructure, or similar technical products.
This is not a project for someone who simply submits websites to directories, creates backlinks, or generates random traffic.
**Our primary goal is to acquire genuine trial users who convert into paying subscribers.**
## Your Responsibilities
**1. SEO Strategy & Execution**
- Conduct comprehensive keyword and competitor research.
- Identify high-intent keywords that attract potential paying customers.
- Perform a technical SEO audit and implement or specify necessary improvements.
- Optimize landing pages, titles, metadata, internal links, and content structure.
- Develop an SEO strategy targeting PostgreSQL backups, automated backup verification, database recovery, and related searches.
- Build relevant, legitimate backlinks through quality outreach and content promotion.
**2. SaaS Customer Acquisition**
- Identify the most effective channels for acquiring our target customers.
- Develop strategies to attract developers, CTOs, DevOps engineers, technical founders, and agencies.
- Promote Vaultly through suitable developer communities, software directories, technical publications, and relevant platforms.
- Plan and execute a launch strategy.
- Improve website visitor-to-trial and trial-to-paid conversion rates.
- Recommend paid advertising only when supported by a realistic acquisition strategy.
**3. Content Marketing**
- Develop useful, technically accurate blog articles and guides.
- Create comparison pages, use-case pages, and high-intent landing pages.
- Build long-term organic traffic through helpful developer-focused content.
- Avoid generic AI-generated articles, spammy content, and low-quality backlinks.
**4. Analytics & Performance**
- Configure or audit Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
- Track traffic, qualified signups, activated trials, and paid conversions.
- Provide transparent progress reports.
- Identify which marketing channels generate actual customers.
- Recommend improvements based on measurable results.
## What We Expect
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of customer acquisition—not someone who only delivers reports and keyword lists.
We want a practical marketing strategy focused on real business growth.
**Your proposal should include:**
1. Your previous experience growing B2B SaaS products.
2. Examples of actual results, preferably trial signups, paying customers, or revenue growth—not just traffic.
3. How you would approach marketing Vaultly from zero customers.
4. Your proposed strategy for the first 30, 60, and 90 days.
5. Your expected deliverables, timeline, and pricing.
6. Which channels you would prioritize and why.
7. What you would need from us to begin.
## Important Requirements
- No black-hat SEO, spam backlinks, fake reviews, fake signups, or bot traffic.
- No guaranteed Google rankings or unrealistic promises.
- No mass-produced generic content.
- Must understand B2B SaaS conversion funnels.
- Must communicate clearly and provide measurable progress.
- All marketing accounts, content, analytics, and campaign assets must remain under our ownership.
## Budget & Working Relationship
We are open to discussing fixed-price milestones or an ongoing arrangement based on your experience and proposed strategy.
We prefer starting with a small, clearly defined milestone to evaluate your research, strategy, execution quality, and initial results before committing to a larger budget.
We are looking for a **long-term marketing partner** who can help turn Vaultly into a successful and growing SaaS business.
**If you have successfully helped a technical B2B SaaS company acquire paying customers, we'd like to hear from you.**
Please begin your proposal with **"VAULTLY GROWTH"** and explain the first three actions you would take to acquire our initial customers.
