Project Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Grant Writer & Fundraiser to help secure $30,000 for our *School Garden Project* in Luwero, Uganda. This initiative fights classroom hunger by establishing sustainable school gardens, providing daily nutritious meals so vulnerable children can stay focused and thrive in school.
Key Responsibilities:
* Research and map international grant makers, foundations, and institutional donors aligned with agricultural, food security, and education causes in East Africa.
* Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals, Letters of Intent (LOIs), and concept notes.
* Adapt fundraising pitches to meet prospective grant makers' specific guidelines.
Qualifications:
* Proven track record of securing foundation or institutional grants ($10k–$50k+) for NGOs in Sub-Saharan Africa.
* Excellent written English and strategic proposal writing skills.
* Deep understanding of food security, child welfare, or rural development sectors.
Contract Details:
Type: Freelance / Remote
Compensation: Hourly rate or $800 flat project fee based on deliverables.
