I regularly pull raw transaction data into Google Sheets and strip out the obvious clutter, but I now need robust lookup formulas that will take the cleaned sheet and tag every row—both expense and revenue—with the correct expense type and property classification.

I already maintain a separate “rulebook” table that maps keywords and codes to the classifications I need. What I want from you is a set of well-structured, easy-to-extend lookup formulas (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, or a mix—whichever you feel is most efficient) that will:
• read each line of the raw data,
• match it against the rulebook, and
• return the right classification labels automatically.

Everything must work natively in Google Sheets, handle future rows without manual copying, and remain transparent enough that I can tweak the rulebook later without breaking the logic. Once your solution classifies every current line correctly and I can see how to adapt it myself, the job is done.
