I’m need a publicly-available dataset of free, live video streams that showcase tourist attractions around the world. What I need from you is a well-structured JSON file containing an array of country objects. For each country please:
• Use the official ISO 3166-2 (two-letter) country code for the key
• Include 6–10 working webcam URLs that stream live and are free to access
• Add a short, human-readable name or description for every webcam
• If a specific stream expressly demands attribution, append that note in the same object
• IMPORTANT: The URL for the camera must be to the EXACT streaming source, so this can be used for a video player. NOT a URL for a page with the camera. The URL must be playable using Video.js player (https://videojs.org/)
Example object schema I have in mind:
{
"country": "FR",
"webcams": [
{
"url": "https://example.com/paris-eiffel-live",
"name": "Eiffel Tower – South View",
"attribution": "© ExampleCam" // omit when not required
}
...
]
}
Scope notes
• Focus solely on tourist-oriented views (landmarks, plazas, iconic streets, etc.).
• Skip any feed that is pay-walled, offline more than it is online, or geoblocked.
• If a nation truly offers no suitable public streams, simply leave it out; no dummy placeholders.
• Validate every link at hand-off so the file ships with zero dead streams.
Deliverable
One UTF-8 encoded .json file meeting the above schema, ready to drop into a database or front-end.
I’ll sign off once the JSON parses without errors and spot checks confirm at least 90 % of links are live.
For me to choose you, you must write how you will solve the assignment.
