I aim to build a truly global space where more than ninety-nine million professionals can discover one another, collaborate and grow. The core idea is simple: give users a reliable way to meet peers, share expertise and uncover new career opportunities—yet the execution must be enterprise-grade from day one.
What the build involves
• Full-stack development of a responsive web application (React or similar on the front end, Node.js/Go/Python on the back, with a REST or GraphQL API).
• Cloud-native deployment on AWS, GCP or Azure, containerised with Docker and orchestrated via Kubernetes so the system scales smoothly as membership climbs.
• A rock-solid data layer—PostgreSQL or MongoDB combined with Redis for caching—designed to accommodate hundreds of millions of profile, message and activity records without performance loss.
• Internationalisation, privacy controls, SSO and OAuth log-in, plus encryption in transit and at rest to meet global compliance requirements (GDPR, SOC 2, etc.).
Early milestones
1. Architecture & tech stack blueprint, complete with ER diagrams and a scaling strategy.
2. Clickable UI prototype covering onboarding, profile creation, search and a real-time messaging channel.
3. MVP release ready for closed beta, load-tested to at least 100 k concurrent users.
Success criteria
• Sub-second page loads under peak traffic.
• Zero data loss during simulated node failures.
• Clean, well-documented codebase that my internal team can extend after hand-over.
Source control will live in GitHub, and communication will run through Slack and weekly Zoom check-ins so progress stays transparent. If you have launched high-traffic social or professional platforms before and can point to measurable impact, I’m eager to see how you would approach this challenge and help move the world’s professionals closer together.
