Hi, I’m looking for someone to help me design and source/manufacture a small glass vial with an integrated collapsible spoon, based closely on the attached reference image.
Product concept
The product consists of:
* Small clear glass vial/jar suitable for storing spices, seasonings or other legal powdered products.
* Screw-on plastic cap.
* A small measuring/scoop spoon attached to the underside of the cap, so when the cap is removed the spoon comes out with it.
* Approximately 36 mm spoon length based on the reference product.
* A longer plastic section running alongside the outside of the vial that allows the spoon/stem to fold or collapse into a compact position when closed.
* The cap, spoon and folding mechanism should operate as one integrated assembly.
* Leak-resistant/secure closure.
Reference: Please study the attached photos carefully. I want the overall mechanism and functionality to be very similar to this product.
What I need from you
I’m looking for someone who can help with:
1. Creating accurate CAD/3D drawings of the complete product.
2. Determining practical dimensions, tolerances and materials.
3. Designing the cap/spoon folding mechanism so it can be injection moulded.
4. Producing manufacturing-ready CAD files.
5. Identifying manufacturers capable of producing the glass vial and injection-moulded cap/spoon assembly.
6. Getting prototype/sample units manufactured before mass production.
7. Advising on tooling/mould costs and expected unit pricing at different quantities.
I am not just looking for a 3D visualisation. The ultimate goal is to take the design through to a physical prototype and then mass production.
Please tell me if you have previous experience with small injection-moulded plastic mechanisms, caps/closures, glass containers or similar consumer products, and provide examples of relevant work.
