## What you will write
A publication-ready technical white paper, ghostwritten for us, on a focused question: **between 2019 and 2025, how much of the efficiency gains in AI pretraining came from better training data, and how much from better model recipes?**
You work from our research materials, sent to you in chat once you've answered our screening questions, before we hire: a thesis, findings, data tables and source text, about 3,000 to 4,000 words in total, together with detailed writing directions. You turn that into a finished paper a technical reader would trust.
## What you deliver
One editable Word (.docx) file with three clearly headed parts:
1. **The white paper**, including a **methodology appendix** of about 800 to 1,200 words.
2. **Editor Notes**, in two parts: a trace of every number in the paper back to the part of our materials it came from; and remarks flagging any inconsistencies you find in the data, or any claims you think may be wrong, that the researchers should respond to. Raise these in the Editor Notes only; the paper itself keeps the research as given.
3. **A short process note** on how you worked, naming any AI tools you used and how, ending with a **signed statement that you did no online research**.
## Firm rules
- **Use only our materials and your own knowledge.** No online or outside research, no new studies, figures or sources.
- **Use every number exactly as supplied.** Do not round differently, re-derive or invent data.
- **Ghostwriting:** no byline anywhere, and full IP in the work is assigned to us.
- You work alone on this; it is your own version from start to finish.
## Where you have freedom
Within the writing directions you receive, structure, argument flow, how the data is presented (tables, prose, comparisons) and the voice are yours. AI tools are allowed; just say which ones in your process note.
## How the work is judged
Only the result is judged: a clear, convincing, accurate paper that follows the directions, keeps every number faithful to the materials, and has complete Editor Notes and an honest process note. A paper with an untraceable or altered figure is not accepted.

**Hiring:** up to 4 freelancers for this listing, each delivering 1 unit.
**Turnaround:** 48 hours from award.
**Payment:** budget up to $500 per freelancer; you are paid the amount you bid, in one milestone, released when the work is approved.
**Delivery:** after hire you get an upload link. Payment is released only once the final file is uploaded there.
**Your brief:** sent to you in chat after you answer the screening questions, before we hire. The 48 hours start when you are hired.
**Please answer in your bid:**
1. Please share a link or file of a long-form technical or analytical piece (ideally 2,000+ words) that you wrote yourself, and say in one line what you were responsible for in it.
2. Do you accept ghostwriting with no byline anywhere and full transfer of IP to the client? And does any current contract or employer agreement stop you from taking outside ghostwriting work?
3. Once you have our research materials (about 3,000 to 4,000 words), can you deliver the complete paper, methodology appendix, Editor Notes and process note within 48 hours of being hired?
