# German E-Book Designer Needed: PDF Corrections, Clickable Hyperlinks & Canva File
## Project Description
I’m looking for an experienced e-book designer to refine and finalize an existing German-language e-book about e-commerce scaling and performance marketing.
The book is already designed. The task is to implement a detailed list of corrections covering hyperlinks, incorrect content, grammar, layout consistency, and formatting. You will find the exact task list as an attachment (file name: Freelancer_Ebook_Correction_Project).
**The final deliverables must include both the corrected PDF and a fully editable Canva file.**
I care deeply about details and consistency. Identical elements must look and sit exactly the same throughout the entire book, including images, boxes, bullet points, author cards, spacing, margins, fonts, and sizing.
## Scope of Work
### 1. Hyperlinks and Tracking Parameters (Highest Priority)
The current PDF has no clickable hyperlinks. All specified links must be implemented correctly.
- Make every URL in author biographies and exclusive partner offer boxes clickable.
- Add the specified UTM parameters to all partner links while keeping the visible URLs clean.
- Preserve URL anchors and insert UTM parameters before the `#` fragment.
- Make the entire relevant text line clickable, not just individual characters or part of the URL.
- Apply one consistent green hyperlink style throughout the book, with identical font size and underline treatment.
- Correct several URLs that currently point to the wrong domain or use inconsistent URL formats.
- Make the pricing page and StatCounter source URL clickable without UTM parameters.
There are 16 specified links to implement and test, including partner links, source references, and the pricing page.
**Mandatory QA:** Export the final PDF and test the links in both Google Chrome and Adobe Acrobat. Verify that the complete destination URL, including UTM parameters, appears on hover and that every link opens the correct destination.
### 2. Content Corrections
Implement the supplied corrections to author names, chapter references, URLs, and incorrect or outdated text.
Examples include:
- Correcting author names in chapter introduction boxes.
- Updating the reference from eight to nine scaling levers.
- Removing specified obsolete text blocks.
- Correcting author biography URLs and aligning them with the corresponding partner offer boxes.
The complete correction list, including physical PDF page numbers, will be provided.
### 3. Grammar and Proofreading
Review the German text for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and obvious linguistic inconsistencies. Preserve the original meaning, tone, and technical terminology.
The goal is a polished, professional e-book without introducing unnecessary rewrites or changing approved content.
### 4. Layout and Design Consistency
Review the entire book and ensure that repeated elements are visually consistent across all pages.
This includes:
- Page margins and spacing.
- Typography, font sizes, and text colors.
- Author cards, images, and image dimensions.
- Partner offer boxes and their internal spacing.
- Bullets, indentation, alignment, and line spacing.
- Consistent hyperlink styling.
- Clean page breaks and text wrapping.
Please use the existing design as the reference. This is a refinement and correction project, not a redesign.
Page references in the correction document refer to physical PDF page numbers, with the cover counted as page 1.
## Required Deliverables
1. A corrected, final PDF with working hyperlinks.
2. A fully editable Canva design file containing the finalized e-book.
3. A completed correction checklist confirming that all specified changes have been implemented.
4. Confirmation that all 16 links have been tested in Chrome and Adobe Acrobat.
5. A final visual quality check across the entire document.
## Requirements
- Proven experience designing and editing professional e-books, lead magnets, or digital reports.
- Strong Canva skills and the ability to deliver an editable Canva project.
- Experience implementing clickable PDF hyperlinks and UTM tracking parameters.
- Excellent attention to detail and consistency.
- Strong German proofreading skills or the ability to work with a German proofreader.
- Ability to follow detailed page-by-page instructions precisely.
Using the Canva MCP or other suitable automation tools is welcome if it improves efficiency without compromising quality.
## Application Instructions
Please include the following in your proposal:
1. Examples of e-books or reports you have designed or edited.
2. Confirmation that you can deliver both the editable Canva file and a PDF with tested hyperlinks.
3. Your proposed fixed price and estimated turnaround time.
4. A brief explanation of how you will verify that all corrections and links have been implemented correctly.
Please only apply if you are comfortable working with a detailed correction list and performing a thorough final quality check.
I value accuracy and reliability more than speed alone.
