Design Intent: Exposed architectural steel framing supporting a glazed skylight system, similar to the attached renderings

Current Project Phase: Preliminary design / estimating

Requested Preliminary Engineering Scope

Develop a conceptual structural framing scheme based on the architectural design intent

Establish a practical HSS framing layout and structural geometry

Provide preliminary HSS member sizes

Prepare a preliminary 3D structural drawing/model

Provide an estimated total steel tonnage for the skylight structure

Provide sufficient preliminary structural information to assist with:
Material estimating
Steel fabrication budgeting
Glass/skylight system estimating
Installation and erection budgeting
Design Considerations

Structure will need to accommodate the skylight's curved, irregular geometry
Framing should be developed with consideration for fabrication and constructability
