I need a GIS specialist to take my preliminary data on our gas infrastructure network and turn it into a set of production-ready maps and models. The priority is an accurate, clearly symbolised depiction of the gas pipeline routes, followed by GIS-based maps for each gas station that also display nearby road networks and surrounding land-use patterns.
Core tasks
• Clean, integrate and georeference all supplied pipeline, station and ancillary datasets (formats include shapefile, DWG and Revit exports).
• Build layered ArcGIS/QGIS projects that show pipelines, stations, roads and land-use with scale-appropriate symbology and labelling.
• Run proximity analysis that flags any building falling within user-defined buffer zones around the pipelines; attribute the results back to the main geodatabase.
• Prepare publication-quality map layouts (A1 PDF and interactive web map).
• Generate a lightweight 3D scene of the network using the existing Revit geometry and export a Lumion fly-through.
Deliverables
1. Fully documented ArcGIS or QGIS project folder with all data and style files.
2. High-resolution PDFs and a web-map link for the pipeline and station layers.
3. XLS/CSV report of building-to-pipeline distance calculations.
4. 3D model files (FBX or RVT) plus 60-second MP4 render.
I will supply my current GIS layers, CAD drawings and BIM model immediately after award; I’m available for quick feedback loops throughout. Let me know your estimated turnaround and which of the listed tools you plan to use most.
